Brian is a life-long resident of Midland, with deep ties to the community. He started working in his father’s dental office as a child, doing janitorial work once a week for eight years. At age 13, he started working part- to full-time during summers, taking and developing x-rays, filing, sterilizing, running errands, and other tasks, as well as regular lawn jobs. During his junior year of high school Brian worked after school every day in the dental office. As a senior, he was a co-op in Dow Corning’s Analytical Lab. He was nominated to the National Honor Society and graduated from H.H. Dow High School in Midland. From 1979 to 1982, Brian attended Central Michigan University, majoring in Biology, with a 3.88 grade point average. During the summers he continued to work in the dental office and also ran a house painting business.

In his free time, Brian enjoys his church community at the Christian Celebration Center. His family includes son, Sam and daughter, Kasey. Sam’s sports are one of his passions. Hunting and fishing are his main hobbies.
